| Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Saturday, March 14, 2009 Mary Chavez Martinez passed away on March 13, 2009. Mary was born on May 7, 1926 to her parents Andres and Aurora Martinez in Williams, Arizona where she lived for most of her life. Mary worked at Safeway for 38 years. She transferred to the Safeway in Cottonwood, where she retired. Mary shared a home with her life long and best friend Dorothy Haeske. The two of them spent a great deal of time helping out with the Catholic Church, planting flowers, cleaning and whatever else they could do to help. Mary was the youngest of five children. Mary leaves four nieces, two nephews along with several great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood, Ariz. Friday, March 20 at 10:30 a.m. Contributions may be made to Northland Hospice, P.O. Box 997 Flagstaff, Arizona, 86002.
