Richard E. Ellison, 75, of Cottonwood, Ariz.; formerly of Roselle, Ill., passed away unexpectedly March 5, 2009. He was born August 16, 1933 in Chicago, Ill.

He was a Police Officer for the Roselle Police Department for 27.5 years, retiring as Sergeant in 1983. Rich and his wife Georgia moved to Cottonwood in 1994 where they enjoyed their retirement until her death in 2001. He remained in Cottonwood, and in 2003, married Gladys Thieme. They remained devoted to each other until his passing.

He was preceded in death by his cherished wife Georgia and his parents Walter and Mildred. He leaves many hearts sad, but we know he is at peace and with his Maker. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 2021 E. Fir St. Cottonwood, Ariz., or to a charity of your choice.
