Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Friday, March 06, 2009 Janet S. Peebles April 3, 1925 - February 16, 2009 Janet, known to many friends and family as Dude, has passed away at her home in the Verde Valley. She and her family came to the Sedona she loved in 1974. Janet was born in Evanston, IL. It was here that her love of horses began and she acquired the nickname 'Dude' that has lasted with her a lifetime. Professionally training and showing horses and caring for her dogs were some of her greatest passions in life only surpassed by the care, devotion and love she gave to her family and loved ones. She transcended many realms in her quests for continued learning. In her journeys she met and made many lifelong friends whom she dearly cared for, as they did for her. She is survived by her eldest son Don M. Peebles III, her daughter- in-law Kelly K. Peebles, daughter Julianne, and her beloved grandson Michael Tames Collier. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffery Graham Peebles, and her husband Don M. Peebles Jr. We ask that you join with us in lighting a candle and taking time for remembrance at Noon on Sunday March 8, 2009. You are loved and will be truly missed by many. May you journey well. Love you Mom. |
