Maxine Faye Foil
May 26, 1928 - December 31, 2013

Maxine Foil passed away on December 31, 2013: following years of dealing with the affects of Parkinson's Disease.

She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 26, 1928. Her parents, Percy C. Bagwell and Glada Faye Bagwell were later divorced. Her mother remarried and moved the family to Winslow, Arizona when she was four. After graduating from Winslow High School in 1946, she married David A. Foil, Jr. on October 19, 1946.

In 1950, they settled in Show Low, Arizona where they raised their five children. After living in the same house from 1961 to 2012, they moved to Pinetop, Arizona as a result of health problems, where they have since lived with their daughter Carolyn.

Maxine supported her husband, raised her children and remained a loyal friend to all those fortunate enough to have known her well. She was loved by the members of her church, White Mountain Bible Church, and remained an active member of two bridge clubs up until her last fall. Her gift of hospitality gained her the friendship and respect of many. She knew how to make you feel special.

She is survived by her husband David and her five children: Ron (Terry) Foil, Mike (Sandee) Foil, Sharon (Dan) Alfonsi, Carolyn Jacobs and Paula (Paul) Tankersley. Between them, she also had 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, all surviving.

She will be sorely missed, until we meet again!

There will be a memorial service at White Mountain Bible Church on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Rather than sending flowers, please donate to White Mountain Bible Church.

Services were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel of Show Low, Arizona.
