Mary Ann Bode, 71, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born June 2, 1937 in Lahina Maui, Hawaii, passed away March 16, 2009 at Kindred Care Hospital Phoenix, Ariz.

A Celebration of Life memorial will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, 8480 E. Valley Road, Prescott Valley.

Mary Ann Urada Bode

Mary Ann Urada Bode passed away suddenly on March 16, 2009 at Kindred Care Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She was 71 years old. Mary Ann was born June 2, 1937 in Lahina Maui, Hawaii; the daughter of Valentine & Urada (Book) Soares. Mary Ann married the love of her life in 1956; together they had four children and many years of love and happiness. She was proud of being a housewife and was the best nurturing mother that you could ever imagine. Mary Ann enjoyed art. Her life like painting of the beautiful Hawaiian flowers makes you feel like you are really sitting in an island garden. Knitting and interior design were also passions of Mary Ann’s. Mary Ann & Kenneth moved from Hawaii to Arizona in 1999. She joined St. Germaine’s Catholic Church and continued her art work. She was most proud of her children and family. A blessed life lived with the one’s she loved.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband Kenneth A. Bode Sr. of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; children - Kenneth A. Bode Jr. of Maui, Hi.; Karl E. Bode of Gilbert, Ariz.; Kirk R. Bode of Maui, Hi.; Kathy L. Bode of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother - Lawrence Soares of Oahu, Hi.; sister - Antoinette Kaahanui of Oahu, Hi.; grandchildren - Kassie, Kelly, Kaiea, Kari, Kerwin, Kent, Kevin & Kenna.
