Dorothy W. Beamis Born in Kansas City, Kansas on Oct. 5, 1909 Departed on Jan. 27, 2008 and resided in Cottonwood, AZ. Dorothy W. Beamis, 98, of Cottonwood died January 27. She was born October 5, 1909 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Samuel and Lydia Ramsden Wyancko. Her light and her life was the Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She also worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Phoenix. She also enjoyed writing, reading the bible and traveling. Her husband, Thomas John Beamis and her brother Harold Wyancko preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Walter T. Beamis (and his wife Mary Lou) of Clarkdale and David H. Beamis (and his wife Martha) of Buckeye; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
