Born in Green Forest, Arkansas on May 23, 1931.
Departed on May 24, 2004 and resided in Camp Verde, Ariz.

Jess Lewis, 73, of Camp Verde passed away May 24, 2004.

Jess loved the outdoors and enjoyed his horses, chickens and dogs. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of thirty years, Joyce Lewis; three sons, Jim Lewis, Dan Lewis and Ted Lewis; his step-children, Steve Hockaday, Diana Bedient, Kathy Dugwyler, Chuck Hockaday and Craig Hockaday. He is also survived by his sister Marilyn Breshear; seventeen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jess came to Arizona 66 years ago from Arkansas, served in the Air Force, retired from Goodyear Aerospace in 1989 and was a member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge and Phoenix Jaycess.

A family and friends gathering will be held on Saturday May 29 at the family's home, 1166 Lewis Lane in Camp Verde at 2 p.m.
