Born in Gering, Nebraska on May 28, 1926.
Departed on July 18, 2008 and resided in Camp Verde, Ariz.

Marjorie M. Onstott Batchelor, 82, of Camp Verde died July 18. She was born May 28, 1926 in her oldest sister's house in Gering, Nebraska. She was the tenth child of William N. and Mary V. Onstott of Banner County, Nebraska. She attended grade school in Banner County School District No.2 and attended high school in Gering, Morrill, Minitare and Scottsbluff, Nebraska and finished her senior year in Bell, California.

During World War II, she worked at a defense plant building fighter planes and battleships in Huntington Park, California.

Mrs. Batchelor enjoyed sewing, gardening, and writing. She published two books.

She married Allen A. Batchelor on January 6, 1945 in Torrington, Wyoming. They lived in Scottsbluff, Nebraska where their three children were born.

Besides her husband, Allen, she leaves the three children, LuJuana E. Steninger of Gering, Neb., Leona Yvonne Carlton of Chowchilla, Calif. and Arlin A. Batchelor of Camp Verde, Ariz.

She leaves twelve grandchildren: grandsons Edward A. Steninger, John A. Steninger, William Steninger, Jerry W. Carlton II, Jeffrey W. Carlton, Audie A. Batchelor, Levi C. Batchelor and Heath T. Batchelor; Grandaughters Sheila S. Carlton, Misty J. Jackson, Bambi M. Risden and Scarlett K. Driver, twenty-five great-grandchildren with one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild on the way and two sisters, Wilma D. Dean, Adelia M. Henderson and a brother, Adelbert M. Onstott.

Preceding her death were siblings William E. Onstott, Leona LeBoufe, Merle A. Onstott, Darrell C. Onstott, Carroll A. Onstott, Mayme M. Doremus and Coral V. Kay.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29 at 4 p.m. in the Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood. Burial will be in Nebraska.
