| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, March 14, 2009 LuVerne "Sam" A. Olson, formerly of Minnesota, passed away on March 7, 2009, at the age of 83. Sam is survived by his wife Rosemary; six children; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister. A Celebration Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury in Prescott with military honors by the American Legion Post 6. Inurnment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minnesota. The family suggests memorials to Yavapai Humane Society, 1625 Sundog, Prescott, Ariz., 86301, or St. Vincent De Paul Society, 150 Fleury, Prescott, Ariz., 86301. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. Sam was a member of the American Legion Post 6. He enjoyed art, gardening, reading, and woodworking.
