William "Bill" Andrews passed away March 3, 2009, at Prescott Family Hospice Care.

Until WWII he lived in Santa Monica, Calif., where he worked for Douglas Aircraft Co.

During the war, he was an Army M.P. in the 1st Armored Division serving in North Africa, Italy and Germany. Taking advantage of the G.I. bill, he attended and graduated from U.S.C. with a B.S. in foreign trade. It was here that he met and, after graduation, married Pat.

For 31 years, he was a sales representative for Nabisco.

Bill led a very active life. He enjoyed gardening, racketball and hiking, and was active in the Model A Ford Club, but his main interest was traveling. When their girls were living at home, they spent a few weeks each summer traveling the U.S., Canada and Mexico. After they left home, he, his wife and friends spent several weeks most summers traveling overseas countries.

He was a member of First Baptist Church where he attended their Joy class.

Bill is survived by his wife, Pat, their daughters Cathy Andrews and Lynn (Gary) Blue, and grandson Joshua Simmons, all of whom will greatly miss him.

Private services are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Family Care, 3195 Stillwater, Prescott, Ariz., 86305.

Arrangements were entrusted to Hampton Funeral Home. Please visit www.hamptonfuneralhome.com to sign Bill's guest book.
