Arthur Paul Razo

Arthur Razo, 77, passed away peacefully at 4:23 a.m. on April 25, 2007 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott Valley, Ariz. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss him.

He was born on January 18, 1930 in Chicago, Ill. to Eusebio and Juanita Razo. Art enlisted in the Army at age 18 and proudly served his country for four years. He spent two years in active combat during the Korean War where he received two bronze service stars for bravery in addition to other military honors.

On March 3, 1962, Art married his wife of 45 years, Dorothy Jean Fischer, in Chillicothe Ill. and moved to Pomona, Calif. where they raised three children. While living in California, he worked as a licensed psychiatric technician for Lanterman Developmental Center. In 1983, he retired due to failing health. In 1992, he moved to Prescott Valley, Ariz. where he spent his remaining years enjoying time with his family.

Art's parents, his older brother, Leopoldo, age two-months and his sister-in-law, Alice, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; three children, Randall Ray, his fiancée Cynthia Larson and her children, James, Chelsea and Tiffany; Russell Roy, his wife Darcy and their children, Erica, Andrew,
Alyssa, Erin and Adam; Rosemary Ruth, her husband Michael and their son Kruz; and by his younger brother, Fred and his wife Grace.

Art will be interred 10 a.m. May 8, 2007 at the Prescott National Cemetery Columbarium with full military honors.

Arthur Paul Razo, 77, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born Jan. 18, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away April 25, 2007 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center East in Prescott Valley.

Military service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at the Prescott National Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.

A private cremation took place at the Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
