Margie Lou Watson, age 59, died April 28, 2007, in Prescott Valley, Arizona. She was born April 12, 1948, in Independence, Missouri to Herman and Mary (Moyer) Watson.

Margie came to Mayer in 1970, she taught English at Mayer High School and was the librarian for Mayer school district for 35 years. After her retirement from the Mayer School District in 2005, she worked at the Prescott Valley Public Library. Margie mentored many children and many of her students came back to tell her what a difference she made in their lives.

Margie loved her friends of which she had a wide circle. She enjoyed movies and reading and loved animals.

Margie graduated from Sunny Slope High School in Phoenix in 1966. She had two Master's Degrees, one in reading and the other in Library Science from Northern Arizona University and University of Phoenix. Margie was a life long learner, which included several different hobbies that she enjoyed.

Margie is survived by her sister, Joyce; two brothers, John (Pat) and Harry; and her nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to a favorite animal benefit group, such as United Animal Friends, Prescott, Arizona.

Commemoration services in honor of Margie, will take place at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott Valley, with a visitation time from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the formal service.
