Sharon Kay Allen, 67, peacefully passed away at her home in Show Low on October 29, 2006. Mrs. Allen was born and raised in Scottsville, Kansas. Following school, she married Walter L. Allen. They made their home in Concordia, Kansas, where she was a homemaker. Their family moved to Winkelman in 1964, to Dudleyville later that same year, and Mammoth in 1967. In 1977, Mrs. Allen went back to school and received an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and Office Administration. Following college, she began working for the Department of Economic Security and worked her way up, retiring as a supervisor in 2005. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, crafts and working in her flower garden. She was a great cook. She is survived by her husband, Walter L. Allen of Show Low; daughters, Pamela S. Allen of Show Low, Tamara L. Salas of Show Low, Tina Allen-Cruz (George) of Hayden and Tracy Szymanski (Scott) of San Manuel; a son, Steve Allen (Mary) of Mammoth; a sister, Roberta Darling (Ernest) of Clinton, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Private memorial services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements. |
