William E. (Bill) Daniel

Bill Daniel, 81, died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at Las Fuentes Care Center in Prescott, Ariz. He was born July 28, 1924, in Lindsey, Calif., the son of Carl and Evelyn (Lyall) Daniel.

Bill served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was honorably discharged.

Bill had met his first wife, June, who preceded him in death. He worked as a truck driver for many years and was retired. Bill later met and married Vickie Buxton on August 10, 1998.

Bill was a member of the American Legion Post #104 and the NRA. He was a lover of the outdoors, enjoying camping, hunting and fishing. Bill also enjoyed watching football, but his passion was his four-wheeler. Bill was proud of his family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Vickie, with whom he shared seven loving years; his children and their spouses, Robyn and Jerry Perkins of Wickenburg, Ariz., Mike Daniel of Flagstaff, Ariz., Nadean and Bob Pearl and David and Veronica Daniel all of Wickenburg, Christy and Clyde Carson of Hillside, Ariz., Lisa and Nick Jones of Lexington, Okla., and Joe Don Hilburn of Frederick, Okla.

Bill is also survived by his brothers and their wives and his sisters and their husbands, Richard and Mary Lee Daniel of Boulder, Nev.; Jim and Jan Rudy of Bagdad; Ariz., Vivian Dillard of Wickenburg; Ariz., Jackie and John Alien of Congress; Ariz., Jeri and Lowell Duncan of Denton, Texas; and Doris and Ken Brockway of Concho, Ariz,; his grandchildren, Karen, Bill, Karri, Kristopher, Ethan, Brian, Katie, Niki, Mindy, Suzi, Jessie, Travis, Tyier and Trent and 14 great-grand-children.

Visitation will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton streets, Prescott.

A Celebration of Bill's life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 10, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Prescott, Ariz., with full military honors by Post #6 American Legion in Prescott with assistance from Post #104 in Bagdad.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
