| STOKES, Dr. Arthur E. Dr. Stokes, Chiropractor, Will Be Buried in Chandler Chandler -- Service for Dr. Arthur E. Stokes, 78, of 484 W. Toledo, will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive. Dr. Stokes died Thursday in Chandler Community Hospital. Burial will be in Gardens of Peace. Friends may call at the mortuary between 2 and 8:30 p.m. today. A native of Chicago, Dr. Stokes came to Chandler 21 years ago from Emerson, Iowa, where he was a doctor of chiropractic. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge in Emerson and a member of Abu Bekr Shrine Temple, Sioux City, Iowa, the Omaha Consistory, and Order of Eastern Star in Emerson. Survivors include his wife, Ida; and a sister and a brother out of state. Published in The Arizona Republic Sunday, October 13, 1968, p. 24-D. |
