WROLSTAD, Mildred Mildred Wrolstad was born on Nov. 8, 1927 in Egg Creek Township, near Granville, North Dakota. She was the youngest of six children of Ernest and Minnie Hills. She attended a country school not far from the family farm and graduated from Granville High School. Upon graduation from Minot Business College, she worked for a number of years as a legal secretary for Attorney G. O. Brekke in Minot, ND. Mildred married Orville Wrolstad on December 18, 1956. She was a devoted wife and mother, supporting her husband "wherever the job was", raising four sons of whom she was very proud, and managing her home with love. After living in many places (No. & So. Dakota, Minnesota, Nevada, and Washington) Orville and Mildred finally settled in Phoenix in 1970 where Mildred resided until her death on September 25, 2003. She loved and supported her grandchildren in all their musical, sports and professional endeavors. She especially loved family reunions, watching her granddaughters' softball games (even in adverse weather), watching her son's bowling league, and trips to California, Flagstaff, and Wisconsin where she was able to attend her grandchildrens' weddings. Mildred and Orville were active members of American Legion Post 107. She was a regular at the Friday night fish fry where she especially liked the sea bass. She always looked forward to socializing with her many friends made over the years. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Mildred is survived by fours sons: Darrell (Judy), Dennis (Sharon), Duane (Carol) and David (Karen); five grandchildren: Ryan (Allison), Jeremy (Kristin), Paula (Rob), Deanne and Amanda; two step-grandchildren: Lorelyn Leisure (Russ) and Joel Husby (Ruth); a foster grandchild: Julian Hoffman; four great grandchildren and a sister, Esther (Hilbert) Rittenbach of Jamestown, ND, who was able to visit with her sister just a month ago. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, her husband, Orville and two great grandchildren. Visitation was at A. L. Moore-Grimshaw Bethany Funeral Home at 710 W. Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix. The funeral was at Paradise Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church at 2727 E. Cactus on Tuesday September 30th. Burial at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
