Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago, Ill. May 28, 1988 Frank William Peacock Jr., 77, retired general manager of the Chicago-based distributor office of the Stewart-Warner Co., died May 20 in Sun City, Ariz. Born in Chicago, Mr. Peacock grew up in Rogers Park. After serving in the Army in World War II, he and his family lived first in Skokie and then in Glenview. In 1975, having retired from business, he moved to Sun City. Mr. Peacock was the grandson of Elijah Peacock, founder of C. D. Peacock Jewelers in Chicago in 1837. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1933. Survivors include one son, Roger and two granddaughters. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. David Church, Glenview and Shermer roads, Glenview. Memorial donations may be sent to the All Saints-of-the-Desert Church, 9502 Hutton Drive, Sun City, Ariz. 85351. |
