Jack Burgess McKee - March 18, 1924 ¬ March 10, 2007

Jack died peacefully at home knowing he was deeply loved by his family and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Turney and Ethel; his brother Mac; and his sisters, Martha and Dorothy.

He is survived by Bernice, his loving wife of 53 years; and children, Kathleen, Sharon, Michael, Steven, Barbara, and their spouses. He is also survived by nieces, Karla Bilby and Susan Zinga; nephew Ben Silk; and grandchildren, Matt, Bridget, Chris, Carley, Danielle, Turney, Georgia, Peter and Hayden.

Jack was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, and served in the Navy during WWII. He later earned a degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas. Working in sales and marketing for Johnson's Wax, he moved to Caracas, Venezuela, in 1952 where he met and married Bernice. After living many wonderful years in Caracas and Mexico City, Mexico, he returned his young family to the United States in 1963, first living in Phoenix, and then in Thousand Oaks, California, where he pursued a career as a financial consultant.

Jack retired to Prescott, Arizona, in 1990 where he continued to actively pursue his love of family, friendship, community and travel. He was a devoted member of his caring and supportive church family at Trinity Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will be at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 31, at 11 a.m.

Interment will be at the Prescott National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Family Care in Prescott.
