| Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory, Wickenburg, Arizona Mark Joseph Hranek March 21, 1960 - April 2, 2014 Mark Joseph Hranek, age 54, passed away April 2, 2014 from an auto accident near Surprise, Arizona. Mark was born March 21, 1960 to Stanley and Mary Ann Hranek. He had worked for years at the San Onofre Power Nuclear Power Plant in California. He came to Wickenburg in 2007. Mark was known by many in the community, working for the Wickenburg Sun and also with Circle K. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at Wickenburg Funeral Home from 6:00 to 9:00 PM with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Wednesday, April 9th at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. ~~~~~~~~ The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, April 09, 2014 Mark Joseph Hranek, age 54, passed away April 2 from an auto accident near Surprise. Mark was born March 21, 1960 in Beaufort, S.C., to Stanley and Mary Ann Hranek. His father was in the military, so Mark had lived in various locations in his youth. The family moved to Southern California, where Mark attended schools in his early years in Oceanside and later Twenty-Nine Palms. He had worked for years at the San Onofre Power Nuclear Power Plant in California and later in New Jersey, working construction with family. He came to Wickenburg in 2007. Mark was known by many in the community, working for The Wickenburg Sun and also with Circle K. He was preceded in death by his father Stanley Hranek in 2010 and brother Joseph in 2002. Mark was the fifth of 12 children. He is survived by his wife Carla of Wickenburg; daughter Alison Hranek; mother Mary Ann Hranek; brothers Gerard, John, Michael, Martin, Christopher, Anthony, James and Jeffrey; and sisters Margaret Doe and Sister Carol Hranek; mother-in-law Donna Bareiter; stepchildren Cassandra Lopez and Michelle Spencer; step-grandchildren Vincent Lopez and Randy Spencer; step-great-grandchildren Veronica, Simon and Olivia Keough; and great-great-grandchild Bianca Spencer. Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (April 8), a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, April 9) at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg.
