Gloria Dranchak

Mrs. Gloria D. Dranchak, age 77, passed away Jan. 2 at her residence in Wickenburg.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan 5, at 11 a.m. at Wickenburg Funeral Home with Fr. George Highberger as celebrant.

Burial followed in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.

Gloria was born and raised in Binghamton, N.Y., and attended schools there graduating from St. Paul’s Catholic School in Binghamton, N.Y. She later began working for General Electric Co. in Johnson City, N.Y., where she met Eugene Dranchak.

They were married April 12, 1958 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Binghamton and made their home there. They moved to Arizona in 1978 and later settling in Wickenburg in 1999.

Gloria was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who was admired for her courage and strength by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her unselfish, kind and giving ways.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Dranchak Nov. 26, 2007.

She is survived by daughters Eileen Dranchak-Kalb of Mesa, Sue Peinkofer of Oregon, Catherin Maddi of New York; grandchildren Joseph, Jonathan and Michael Maddi, Jason and Rachael Peinkofer, Edward and Anna Dranchak-Kalb; and two great-grandchildren Luke and Liam McMahon-Maddi.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation 6350 N. Andrews Ave. Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. 33309 or Hospice of Arizona, 2222 W. Northern Ave. Ste A-100 Phoenix, AZ 85021

Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home and Crematory.
