| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 16, 2008, p. A5 Marie G. Sohn, age 87, passed away following a lengthy illness on Jan. 13 in Wittmann, Ariz. Marie was born in Avalon, Texas, to Daniel A. Giles and Lora Swafford Giles. She married George Sohn and they came to Arizona in the 1940s. George worked as a engineer for the U.S. Forrest Service. They had lived in the Prescott and Springerville areas for years. Marie had lived in the Congress area for the last 15 years. She was an avid artist - mostly oil painting - and enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. There are no formal services planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory. |
