| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Friday, April 18, 2014 Bette Nisi, 85, of Prescott, Ariz., departed this life Tuesday, April 15, 2014. She was born Feb. 25, 1929, to Louis and Lillian Schonceit in New York, N.Y. Bette loved living in Prescott and immersed herself in her community. She was elected as treasurer of the Iron Springs Sanitary District, and proudly served for 25 years. Tennis was her passion and her tennis community was her family. One of her greatest achievements was receiving the Northern Arizona Lifetime League Contributor Award for her skill and dedication to the sport. She was loved by her three granddaughters, who have wonderful memories of summers in Prescott with her. Bette is preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph; daughter Ellen; son Richard; and her brother Michael. She is survived by her granddaughters Erica, Olivia and Kerri.
