Raymond "Rex" Hubbard, 85, of Pima, passed away April 18, 2014 in Tucson, AZ.

Rex was born to Emery Benjamin & Audrey Taylor Hubbard on June 20, 1928, in Central, AZ.

A viewing will be held Thurdsay evening, April 24th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Caldwell Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pima Chapel, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with interment in the Pima Cemetery.

Raymond "Rex" Hubbard, 85, of Pima, passed away April 18, 2014, in Tucson.

Rex was born to Emery “Buck” Benjamin and Audrey Taylor Hubbard on June 20, 1928, in Central. He was a proud farmer and lifelong resident of the Gila Valley. During his life, Rex served in the United States Army, Mountain Division, 10th Infantry. He married his beloved wife, Helen Marie Long, on Sept. 12, 1952, in Safford.

Rex loved to hunt and fish, and especially loved hunting deer on the Bryce Ranch. He took an interest in all of nature, especially birds and rocks.

Rex is survived by his children, Raymond Lark, Rondo K. Hubbard and Tres Smith; brothers, Mac and Kenneth; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen; his parents, Emery and Audrey Hubbard; brothers, Virgil and Morgan; sister, Charlene; and granddaughter, Lark.

A viewing was held Thursday, April 24, 2014, beginning at 6 p.m. at Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pima Chapel, with interment to follow in the Pima Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of McDougal’s Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
