Jerry Dale Irwin
(May 21, 1936 - April 3, 2014)

Jerry Dale Irwin, 77, of Flagstaff, AZ, passed away suddenly at Flagstaff Regional Medical Center of a massive heart attack.

Jerry was born May 21, 1936, in Marion, IL, to Harvey and Edna (Guill) Irwin. He graduated from Marion High School in 1954. He began working for Fabick Machinery Company, a Caterpillar heavy equipment dealership in 1955 in Marion. In 1970, he and his family moved to Mesa, AZ to work for Empire Machinery Company, an Arizona Caterpillar dealership. After two years, he was transferred to the Empire Machinery Manager of Parts and Sales position at the Flagstaff branch. He has remained a Flagstaff resident since that time.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen (O'Brien) Irwin of Flagstaff, sons, Jeff Irwin (Stephanie) of Kailua Kona, HI, Jaimie Irwin of the Verde Valley, grandchildren, Alexandra Irwin, Springtown, TX, Kylee Sullivan, Kailua Kona HI. He also leaves a sister, Judy Staudacher, of Wildwood, Mo, a brother John Irwin of Yarnell, AZ.

He was predeceased by his parents, son, Jay Irwin on April,1, 2012, his only grandson, Steven Irwin, March 10, 2014.

Jerry was a hard worker, great dad and loving husband to "Kat," his high school sweetheart.

He leaves a legacy of love and sweet memories and will be missed, but carried in the hearts of those who loved him.

A grave site only service will be held Friday, April 11th at 2:PM at Citizen's Cemetery in Flagstaff.
