Claudia Hatfield Goodman, 67, returned home to her heavenly Father, her parents Cloid and Ardith Hatfield, and her siblings, Jerrald Hatfield and Karen Hatfield Ostler, Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in Gilbert.

Claudia was raised in Springville, Utah, by her loving parents. She settled in St. Johns and chose to dedicate her life to her family as a devoted wife and mother. She wrote, “Heaven is my husband and kids and posterity.” She served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as primary president, Relief Society president and member missionary. Later in life, she worked closely with the communities of Concho and St. Johns as a librarian. She especially loved serving the children and became an amazing storyteller. She used songs, skits and costumes to bring smiles to their faces. Her grandkids often benefited from it often as well.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Goodman; children and their spouses: Michael and Michelle Goodman, Patrick and Shela Goodman, Amy and Josandro Goodman-Luiz, Jerrald and Chelsea Goodman and Christina and William Pringle; her brother and his spouse: Craig and Betty Hatfield; and 11 prized grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, at the St. Johns Stake Center in St. Johns. A public viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m. in the Relief Society room at the St. Johns Stake Center.
