David Marshall Pender was born in California on August 25, 1954 to Jodi Pender. He died March 22.

He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 13 years Debbie; son Seth Thomas Pender of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandson Sylas J.T.; daughter Emily Janette Pender of Phoenix; daughters Angela and Melissa Young and son Levi Young; son-in-law Shawn Gilleland, and Shawn and Melissa’s two children Chase and Haylee, who loved their Papa dearly.

David was currently living in Chino Valley; a member of The Heights Church near Prescott and co-pastor of Cow-Country Cathedral in Chino Valley. He has been involved with several cowboy churches throughout the West, and has helped establish many of those outreach ministries for years. He had a “shepherd’s heart” and the soul of an evangelist, a man of God who devoted his wisdom and life to his family and friends. He was working for the Yavapai County Roads Department.

Services were held at The Heights Church (2121 Larry Caldwell Dr. Prescott, Ariz.) Saturday March 29. Graveside Services followed at the Chino Valley Cemetery, (West Road 2 South in Chino Valley). A reception was held at the 5M Arena Ramada, (764 West Road 1 South, also in Chino Valley).
