| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ April 9, 2008, p. A13. Joyce Price, age 73, passed away peacefully March 28 in Prescott. She was born August 7, 1934 in Clairmont, Texas, to Oscar Peek and Lelar Tatum Peek. Joyce moved to Blythe, Calif., in 1940 and was raised primarily there and attended schools there. She married John Price January 16, 1952 in Quartzite, Ariz., and they made their home in Blythe, Calif. Joyce had worked as assistant manager at J.C. Penny’s for years before retiring and moving to Yarnell in 1984. She was active the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed bowling. Joyce was preceded in death by son Michael Lynn Price in 2001. She is survived by her husband John Price of Yarnell and son John Mark Price of Peeples Valley; brother Marvin Peek of Tennessee; sisters Maurine Miller of Jayton, Texas; and Anne Ramsey of Canada; grandchildren Joshua John Price of Hemet, Calif.; and Shannon Price Talwar of New Delhi, India; great-grandchildren John Henry Price, Hailey Nicole Price and Jordan Om Talwar. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory. |
