Van Anrooy <<< >>> Feb. 12, 1935 – March 26, 2014 <<< Reginald “Reggie” Paul Van Anrooy, 79, passed away March 26, 2014, after a courageous fight with cancer. Born Feb. 12, 1935, in the Netherlands to Marinus and Regina Van Anrooij. Reggie had a brother Peter Van Anrooij who preceded him in death, passing away in 2012. Reggie survived bomb blasts on a train in WWII, being shanghaied into the French Foreign Legion and then the Royal Dutch Marines shipping him to New Guinea. He then brought his family on another adventure to America. Reggie loved his family, friends, cooking, adventure, living in Parker and always enjoyed a great party. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, JoAnn Van Anrooy; three children, Peter (Vicky) Van Anrooy; Regine (Andy) Wheatley; Cynthia (Damon) Halvorson; five wonderful grandchildren, Veronica (Geo) Van Anrooy Palacios, Grant (Amanda) Wheatley, Tyler Wheatley, Ian Halvorson and Cassie Halvorson. Reggie was able to meet his first great-grandbaby Gentry Rose Wheatley. He also loved his four-legged kids Barney and Bo. A celebration of Reggie’s life will be held Saturday, May 3, 2 p.m., at VFW Post 10726 (upriver) 8889 Riverside Drive, Parker. |
