Pete D. DeAnda, 82, passed away on Monday, March 23 at his residence in Miami. Born in Presidio, TX on June 29, 1926 he resided in Arizona for sixty-two years working at Inspiration Copper Co. as a leadburner. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army with the 11th Airborne Division. He was stationed in Japan and was involved with the clean up after the Atomic Bomb. Pete enjoyed working around the house, going camping and visiting Texas. Peter is survived by his daughters, Linda Pastor of Globe, Lora DeAnda of Mesa; son, Jesse DeAnda of Globe, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Minnie in 1987 and his son Peter DeAnda. Visitation was held on Monday, March 30 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church. Rosary followed at 9:30 a.m. with services starting at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at the Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights. Lamont Mortuary of Globe assisted the family. |
