Arlin Gene Wallace

Arlin Gene Wallace, 81, of Dewey, Ariz. went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2009 at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Wallace was born in Morenci, Ariz. on Oct. 26, 1927 to Elsie and L. Kenneth Wallace.

He married Dorothy Ann Peterson on Nov. 27, 1954 and they were blessed with 54 years of marriage together. Gene was a proud Marine and traveled the world on the U.S.S. Palau and the U.S.S. Midway as an aircraft mechanic. He attended the University of Arizona, graduating with a degree in Engineering in 1953. He worked for many years in the chemical industry and in construction. Upon retirement, he and Dorothy enjoyed many years traveling the United States and abroad.

Gene and Dorothy have been members of Calvary Chapel in Prescott, Ariz. and have enjoyed the support and fellowship of their church family for many years.

Gene is survived by his loving wife Dorothy; daughters, Margaret (Peg) Wallace, Gail LaMonica and husband Nick and Anne Wallace and husband Brian; four grandchildren, Chris, Matt, Kaydee and Amy LaMonica; and brother Linn Wallace.

A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Calvary Chapel in Prescott, Ariz. with inurnment at a later date.

Sunrise Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
