| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, March 27, 2009 Gerard (Jerry) Oelerich, 77, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1931. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955, and was married to Marjorie Perry in 1953. Jerry and his family spent much of their time in Hampton Bays, N.Y., where he taught elementary school for 20 years for the Sachem School District. After retirement, in 1994, he and his wife moved to Prescott, Ariz. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was playing tennis or working in the garden. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; his sons, David, James and Kevin; his daughter Jacqueline; and three grandchildren. Services will be in Hampton Bays, N.Y. Local arrangements were entrusted to Hampton Funeral Home. Information provided by survivors. |
