John A. Hancock of Wickenburg died Dec. 18 in Glendale. He was 86.

Mr. Hancock was born Aug.31, 1910 in Taylor. He was a lifelong resident of Arizona. Mr. Hancock was a rancher all his life and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ruby of Wickenburg; children Irene Jensen of Salt Lake City, Utah, LaVerne Chandler of Bakersfield, Calif., Beverly Homer of Boardman, Ore., Dale Hancock of Roy, Utah, Labretta Wilkes of Mission Viejo, Calif., Alvin Hancock of Wickenburg, Ruby Mason of Salt Lake City, Cory Hancock of West Haven, Utah, Pamela Briggs of Salt Lake City, Forrest Hancock of Magna, Utah, Marty Hancock of Wickenburg, Greg Hancock of Flagstaff, Denzlo Hancock of St David and Levi Hancock of Peoria; three sisters; 82 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wickenburg.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with burial following at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.

Bishop Max Colgrove officiated the service. Contributions may be made in Mr. Hancock's name to: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mission Fund, P.O. Box 73, Wickenburg, AZ 85358.

Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wickenburg handled all the arrangements.
