Arnold L. Montgomery

Arnold L. Montgomery of Morristown, died Nov. 30 in Morristown. He was 79. Mr. Montgomery was born Sept. 18, 1917 in Gays Mills, Wisc. He had lived in Arizona for the past 17 years, coming from California.

Mr. Montgomery was a heavy-duty mechanic, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 12, the Arizona Rangers, the VFW, the DAV, and the NRA. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Lorrina Chesler and Eric Handel of Centralia, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law J. R. and Dora Montgomery of Portland, Ore.; daughter Elaine Rosemeyer of Illinois; brother Lawrence Montgomery of Plainwell, Mich.; grandchildren Mark Chesler Jr. and Matthew and Eric Handel of Centralia, Melissa and Marsha Montgomery of Portland, and Paul and Sarah Rosemeyer of Illinois; niece and nephew Pam and Mike; and dear friend Lola Lewis.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 5) at Frey Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Morristown Cemetery. Pastor Robert Smith will officiate.

Special services will be conducted by the Arizona Rangers.
