Dr. Gary E. Manson passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014, from natural causes at his home in Tucson, Ariz.

A memorial service will be held at the Vistoso Funeral Home in Oro Valley on Friday, July 11, at 1:00 p.m.

Dr. Manson was born in Moscow, Idaho, on Feb. 11, 1940, and moved to Tri-City area in 1948. He attended Washington State University and was an army reservist. In 1973, he graduated with his Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Palmer College of Chiropractic. He enjoyed practice in Pasco for 21 years before moving to Tucson, Ariz., to practice an additional four years. Dr. Manson was involved in the Washington State Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association. He retired from practice in 2004.

He enjoyed sports, especially football and baseball, camping, fly fishing, deep sea fishing, snowmobiling, and winning at video poker machines.

He is preceded in death by his parents George and Dottie Manson , brother Dr. Howard Manson of Los Gatos, Calif., and his sister Marjorie Snyder of Richland, Wash.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Joyce, his son Dr. Kirk E. Manson and daughter Tammy Manson, their respective families including 4 grandchildren: Travis, Cody, Michaella, and Gabriella, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations are requested to Doctors without Borders or the St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

He will be greatly missed by all of us who loved him.
