| Vistoso Funeral Home, Oro Valley, Arizona Robert J Richards, Jr. May 10, 1946 - July 2, 2014 Bob was born May 10, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA to Robert and Ruth Richards. They moved to Peoria, IL in 1952. He graduated from Richwoods High School in 1964, where he met Malinda Ann Rudy. After high school they both attended Illinois State University graduating in 1969. After graduation, Bob and Ann moved to Downers Grove, IL where Bob taught at Downers Grove South High School for 34 years. Bob and Ann married in 1970 and had 2 sons, Brett and Gregg. His interests included golf, travel and volunteering his time. He devoted much of his time and energy to IMPACT of Southern Arizona where he served on the board starting in January of 2011, becoming president in April of 2012. Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ann; sons and their spouses, Brett and Helene Richards, and Gregg and Kristy Martineau-Richards; grandson Gavin; and sister, Trudy. He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth (Casper), father Robert Sr., and brother David. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to IMPACT of Southern Arizona. |
