Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, July 20, 2014 12:01 am - Richard Harlan Newell, 73, of Parker, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014. He was born to Harlan and Theda Newell July 18, 1940, in San Diego, Calif. Richard served with honor in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a long time part business owner in both Lake Havasu City and Parker. He loved hot rods, relics and car shows. Richard was preceded in death by his father, mother, son and daughter. He leaves behind his sisters, Shirley (Robert) Martin and Nancy Albright; daughters, Darla Matthews and Sandra Newell; stepsons, Rodney Hayes and Scott Hayes; six grandsons, six granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren. Richard was a beloved brother, uncle, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Richard will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him, his smile, his charm and witty personality. 'Til we see you again. Services will be at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2791 Inca Dr., Lake Havasu City, at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 9, and is open to all. |
