Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, July 20, 2014 - Elsa Susana Gardner, born Feb. 7, 1954, to Olga and Antonio Aguayo, passed away at her residence July 15, 2014. Elsa was born in Sonora, Mexico. She earned an Associate of Arts degree in business. She was on the dean’s list and maintained a grade point average above 3.5. Elsa spent her career as the store director for Basha’s grocery stores. She moved to Arizona in 1990. She and husband, A. Bradley Gardner, were married in 2000. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, sewing, traveling and decorating specialty cakes. Elsa was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. She was also a Soroptomist member in Parker. Elsa is survived by her loving husband, Brad Gardner; sons, Hector Oviedo III of China, Matthew Gardner of Australia and Chase Gardner of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters, Suzanne Oviedo of Tucson, Olqui Sumerfelt of Wis., Kyrsten Gardner of Tacoma, Wash., and Rhannon Gardner of Madison, S.D. as well as one grandchild, Liam. A visitation will be Tuesday, July 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Elsa will be laid to rest at the Julia Page Memorial Park, in Douglas, July 24, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Red Cross or United Way of Havasu in Elsa’s name.
