Pat W. Hayes of Salome died Oct. 30 in Phoenix. He was 76.

Mr. Hayes was born Nov. 9, 1919. In Alama, N.M., was a long time resident of Arizona, living in the state for 65 years.

He and his wife Eunice own and operated a dairy in Scottsdale in 1955. He was a past member of the American Legion and the Wickenburg Roping Club. Mr. Hayes was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World II. He and his family moved from Scottsdale to Peeples Valley in 1950 and then to Wickenburg in 1965, where he resided until they moved to Salome in 1979. Mr. Hayes was a well-known cow-boy in this area for a longtime and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Hayes is survived by his, wife Eunice of Salome; son and daughter- in-law George and Pam Hayes of Salome; grandson, Harlan Hayes; great-granddaughter Britney; brother Art Rogers of Wikeup, Ralph Rogers of Vale, Ore., and John Rogers of Washington state; and sisters Cheryl Wilson of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Gladys Bullock of Fullerton, Calif.

Services were held Monday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. at Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home, where Pastor Robert Fowler officiated.

Visitaion was conducted Monday, Nov. 4 from 8 a.m. to 10 a. m. a Brown Wickenburg Funeral Home

Interment was held at the Veterans National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.

Brown’s Wickenburg Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.
