George Pauk, Jr.

George Pauk, 84, of Prescott, passed away July 18, 2014, at the Arizona Pioneers' Home. George was born February 13, 1930, in Laurens, Iowa, to Catherine and George Pauk, Sr.

George served in the Marines as a young man before moving to Prescott with his wife and children in 1956. He was an avid hunter and fisherman throughout his life, and enjoyed the great outdoors.

George was married to his wife Rose for 56 years before she passed away in 2006. Together they owned and operated Pauk TV for 36 years and were both active in the Mile High Square Dancing Club and the Yavapai Rolling Squares. They enjoyed many years of traveling around the country in their RV. George was a life member of the Elks of Prescott, AZ.

George will be missed by his children Denise (Dave) Slick of Mesa, Ariz., Debra (Tom) Kack of Prescott, Ariz., Ronald (Barb) Pauk of Littleton, Colo., and Pamela (Scott) Abbe of Chandler, Ariz.; his sisters Catherine (Larry) Zygutis of West Bend, Iowa and Mary Worster of Des Moines, Iowa; and his seven grandchildren Kristi, Lindsey, Derek, Michael, Bryan, Katy and James; and many extended family members and friends.

The family suggests donations in George's name to the Arizona Pioneer's Home, 300 S. McCormick St., Prescott, AZ 86303 or The Good Samaritan Society Prescott Hospice, 1065 Ruth Street, Prescott, AZ 86301.

Service: 2:00 pm on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Arizona Pioneers' Home 300 S McCormick Street Prescott AZ 86303 will be the Celebration of Life for George.

Cemetery: George will be reunited with his bride Rose at the Prescott National Cemetery S Overland Rd at Quiet Peace Lane Prescott AZ 86313.
