Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 10, 1996 Donald Rushmore, of Deming, N.M. and formerly of Wickenburg, died Dec. 10 in Deming. He was 91. Mr. Rushmore was born Aug. 17, 1904 in Jamaica, N.Y. Mr. Rushmore married Margaret James on Nov. 10, 1929 in Cascade, Mont. He formerly owned and operated a printing business called Thumper Press in Wanakena, N.Y. He moved to Deming in 1991 from Wickenburg. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg for 18 years. He is survived his wife Margaret "Peg"; daughters Ruth Smith of Rexford, N.Y., Janet Hinkle of Deming, N. M., and Doris MacDonnell of Big Moose Lake, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry S. and Julia Carter Rushmore, and son, Thomas James, who died in 1938. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 14 at 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg. The Rev. W.W. Hutchison will officiate. A rrangements were handled by Baca's Funeral Chapel, Deming N.M., and Baca’s Mimbres Crematory. |
