Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona May 8, 1996 John W. Lusk of Wickenburg, died May 1 in Wickenburg. He was 82. Mr. Lusk was born April 19, 1914 in Baldwin, Mich. He had lived in Arizona for the past 20 years, coming here from Michigan. Mr. Lusk was a retiree of Rowe International in Grand Rapids, Mich. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, and received numerous decorations including the Silver Star, Purple Heart, Distinguished Unit Badge, Combat Infantryman’s Badge and the European-African Middle Eastern Service Medal with five bronze stars while serving in Tunisia, Sicily, Normandy, northern France and the Rhineland. He was a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Lusk is survived by his daughter and son –in-law Bonnie and Richard Miller of Belmont, Mich.; sister Alice Merrill of Baldwin, Mich.; brother Chuck Lusk of Battle Creek, Mich.; grandchildren Michelle Woblin and Dicksie Tremlin both of Belmont, Barry Miller of Rockford, Mich., and Tom Miller of Greenville, Mich.; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lusk was preceded in death by his wife Emma Lusk in December 1994. Cremation and private memorial services have been held. Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of all arrangements. |
