Dolores ‘Lola’ M. Nelson of Wickenburg, died May 12 in Wickenburg. She was 87. Mrs. Nelson was born Jan. 16, 1909 in Signal.

She was a lifelong resident of Arizona. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Wickenburg. She was a waitress all her life, working at the Texas Cafe, the Santa Fe Cafe and Shops Cafe. Her hobbies included gardening and she especially enjoyed growing flowers. She also enjoyed the wildlife on the desert, and feeding quail.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law James and June Nelson of Wickenburg; brother Lino Madril of Wickenburg; grandson Clifford Nelson of Wickenburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; in 1984; and son Adelbert "Bert" Nelson in 1962.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday, May 17 at the Wickenburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:30 - 9 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mike Abdollahzadeh will officiate.

All arrangements were handled by Brown's Wickenburg Funeral Home.
