Mabel L. Lougee of Aguila, died May 10 in Aguila She was 65. Mrs. Lougee was born March 3, 1931 in Kennewick. Wash. She had lived in Arizona for the past two years, coming from Montana.

Mr. and Mrs. Lougee enjoyed dancing at the Moose Lodge, where they were former members. They also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, camping and fishing. Mrs. Lougee was an excellent cook, making wedding cakes for family and friends as well as working as a cook in a hospital. She enjoyed playing softball with her children, and reading to her grandchildren as well as teaching them to play card games. In her younger years, she was an artist and was quite accomplished both in painting and drawing.

Mrs. Lougee is survived by her husband of 45 years, Sam Lougee of Aguila; daughter J. Doll Lougee Fiester of Farmington, N.M.; son Ted Leland Lougee of Dahinda, Ill.; sister Deana Hatley of Astoria, Ore.; brothers John Moore and Roger Larison, both of Astoria; grandchildren Melisa, Mark, Sam, Luke and Kendol Fiester, Cody, Kimberly Md Becky Lougee; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Sharon Leek, Carolyn and Kay Yotter, Sheryl and Sara Moore, Bob Zuelich, Jerry and Jack Graf, John Moore Jr., Tom and Wayne Hatley, and Todd, Roger and Steve Yotter.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 17 at Frey Funeral Home.

Frey Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of all arrangements.
