Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona August 7, 1996 Ruby F. Arthurs of Wickenburg died July 30 at her home in Wickenburg. She was 80. Mrs. Arthurs was born Feb. 12, 1916 in Dobbington, Ontario, Canada. She had lived in Arizona for the past 49 years. Mrs. Arthurs was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Alvin D. Arthurs; and two brothers, Edwin and Kinneth Ash. Survivors include her son Ronald of Skull Valley; daughters Doreen Hudson and Doris Newton, both of Wickenburg, and Dallas Arthurs of Prescott; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers Ray, Keith and Ralph Ash of Canada; and sisters Nellie Hornsby, Mary Guest, Lillian Bellamy and Marjorie Reynolds, all of Canada. Mrs. Arthurs was a long-time member of the Hilltop Community Church, the Dorcus Society and Bagdad Lioness Club until retiring in Skull Valley. She joined the Skull Valley Bible Church, where she attended until moving to Wickenburg nine years ago. Mrs. Arthurs loved to cook and was known for her hospitality. She was a homemaker and was very family oriented. She will be missed by all her family and friends. Visitation and funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Skull Valley Bible Church, the Rev. Jim Beasley and Rev. Dennis Fraser officiating. The burial was held at the Skull Valley Cemetery.
