Bunker Family Funeral & Cremation, Mesa, Arizona Barbara Lorena Richardson September 29, 1921 ~ August 14, 2014 Barbara, a very dear and special wife, mother, and grandmother, was called back to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 14, 2014. She was born and raised in Bluewater, New Mexico. She met her husband in Bluewater, where he spent summers working. They were married in the LDS Mesa Temple on Feb. 15, 1940. Their posterity is now over 200 including 65 grandchildren, 129 great grandchildren, and 7 great, great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Anthon Gilbert Richardson, nine of their 10 children, Gary (Debbie), Paul (Joyce), Garth (Rebecca), Russell (Sheila), Becky Zeigler, Bonnie Young (Daniel), Clay (Shelley), Wade (Shelly), and Brookie McCleve (Loren) and four siblings, Ruth Lowery, Ora Amanda Sabin, Iris Bunker, and Ernst Tietjen. She was preceded in death by her parents Amos and Barbara Tietjen, one son Leroy, and four siblings, Genevieve Hassel, Amos Jr. Tietjen, Permelia Bunker, and Roanna Spencer. Barbara has set a wonderful example for her family to follow. She truly lived a life of devoted service to her family and all who knew her. She and Anthon were privileged to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Thoreau, New Mexico. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, strength, and dedication. Her Funeral will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 10 AM, with a viewing at 9 AM at the LDS Extension Ward Chapel, 616 S. Extension Rd. Mesa, AZ 85210 Bunker Family Funeral & Cremation |
