Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on August 27, 2014 - Andrew James Lovestedt passed away on Aug.14, 2014. Andy was born on May 21, 1927, in Thermopolis, Wyo., to Carl and Lillian Lovestedt. After graduating high school, Andy joined the Army and served in occupied Japan following World War II. He spent the rest of his working years driving trucks and operating mines. Andy traveled and lived throughout the western United States, settling in Pioche, Nev., after marrying Lavern (Kues) Hehn in 1992. They returned to Kingman in 2011. Andy was an active member of his church, a member of the Moose Lodge, and a member of the American Legion. He loved driving a truck, travel, playing country music and playing poker. Andy was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Lavern. He left behind three children, six stepchildren, many grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A local memorial service will be held at College Park Baptist Church on Jagerson Ave. in Kingman at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29. He will be interred beside Lavern in Fleming, Colo.
