Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ Posted: Sunday, August 31, 2014 Frank Leoscher Smith, 95 of Big River, Calif., passed away at Flowers Assisted Living in Lake Havasu City, June 25, 2014. Frank was born in Antrim, Mich., Nov. 11, 1918. His father was Charles Smith and his mother, Matilda Krupp. He was the oldest of three children. He later became an orphan and attended Starr Commonwealth School for Boys in Albion, Mich., Lansing High School and Michigan State College. He was employed with the long haul trucking of cars to the East. He was married and had two daughters, Judy and Ruth Ann. Frank later married Joan Shappee and they were devoted for 44 years. He was a Mason and a Shriner and a member of Science Care, which took care of his final needs. He is survived by his wife Joan Smith; two daughters, Judy Polka and Ruth Ann Cook; step children, Judith Ann Shappee, Daralyn Brody, Jeana Shappee and Jonathan Shappee. He had many friends and will be sorely missed. |
