Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona February 14, 1996 James Oakley Snyder, of Bullhead City and Wickenburg died Feb. 11 in Bullhead City. He was 53. Mr. Snyder was born March 23, 1942 in Tucson. He was a lifelong resident of Arizona. Mr. Snyder lived Bullhead City since 1951. His family owned and operated The Bullhead Chevron since the early 1950s. He and five of his sons operated the station for the past 20 years with his wife, Ellie. Mr. Snyder had many interest, but his love was his family and mechanics. He and his wife also owned a home in Wickenburg where they spent a lot of their free time visiting. He is survived by his wife, Ellinore of Bullhead City and Wickenburg; sons and daughters-in-law Ted and Virginia Marquis of Wickenburg, Tim and Jerri Marquis and Todd and Haley; sons Tom Marquis all of Bullhead City, Jimmy and Paul Snyder, both of Phoenix, and Tadd Marquis of Portland, Ore.; mother Alice K. Gilliland of• Phoenix; sister Sandie Hunter of Phoenix; brother Kelly H. Snyder of Bedford, Texas; 14 grandchildren; sister-in-law and her husband Patricia and Fred Kopp; mother-in-law Dorothy Coe; niece and nephew-in law Robin M. and Terry M. Brown all of Wickenburg; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. at Diamond and sons Silver Bell Chapel in Bullhead City. Terry M. Born will officiate. Arrangements were handled by Brown's Wickenburg Funeral Horne. |
