William “Bill” Armstrong U.S. Veteran

William “Bill” Armstrong passed Sept. 7, 2014 of heart failure at the age of 89.

He lived in Payson from 1999 to 2010 and was a very active member of the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.

His wife of 57 years, Annie Armstrong, passed Sept. 7, 2000 in Payson.
He began his Navy career as a deep-sea diver and retired 28 years later as a Master Chief E9.

He was a generous man who lived a life full of friends, admiration, risk, accomplishments, travel and adventure. As he would put it, with a twinkle, his mates have called him back to his beloved Ships and Sea to join them on the next quest.

He will be truly missed by family and friends.
