The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ February 19, 1997 Thomas B. Thurman of Wicken¬burg, died Feb. 11 in Wickenburg. He was 75. Mr. Thurman was born May 2, 1921 in Fairmount, Mo. He had lived in Arizona for the past seven years. Survivors include his wife, Rita, of Wickenburg; daughters Nancy Wilkinson of California, Cathy Poe of Louisiana, Linda Candillo of Missouri and Cindy Edwards of Missouri; son Larry Thunnan of California; step-sons Joseph Franklin of Tennessee and William Franklin of Connecticut; two brothers; four sisters; eight grand-children; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Thurman. Services have been held. ------------------------------------- The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ February 19, 1997 Thomas B. Before his retirement, he was employed by Hughes Aircraft, working in electronics. Mr. Thurman was. a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Wickenburg. Mr. Thurman was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in World Warn. During his time in the service he served aboard the USS ChandcIcur, and was discharged as a Chief Signalman. Among the many decorations he received in the service were several Bronze Stars. His military record was very important to him. Mr. Thurman is survived by his wife, Rita., of Wickenburg; daughters Nancy Wilkinson of California, Cathy Poe of Louisiana., Linda Candillo of Missouri and Cindy Edwards of California; son Larry Thurman of California; stepsons Joseph Franklin of Tennessee and William Franklin of Connecticut; two brothers; four sisters; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Thurman. Visitation and Rosary services were Feb. 13 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services were Feb. 14 at 5t. Anthony's Catholic Church. Fr. John Vogt officiated. Private burial followed. Brown's Wickenburg Funeral Home handled all arrangements. |
